Applications

There are many applications where one would want to better characterize the health risks associated with radon by measuring radon decay products in addition to radon.  Radon decay product measurements coupled with radon measurements are excellent initial measurements and certainly appropriate as follow-up measurements in the following situations:

• Where high air circulation rates exist within the building

• Where air filtration equipment exists in the building

• Where air filtration equipment could be added to reduce radon related risk exposure and improve other indoor air quality concerns.

• Where active soil depressurization systems are very expensive or do not fully reduce the radon levels to acceptable levels.

• Anytime you want more fully characterize radon risks by measuring BOTH radon and radon decay products.
